In highly automated and precision manufacturing environments, even a millisecond-level voltage dip can cause product defects, forced process interruptions (with uncertain impact range), and even damage to expensive equipment. This necessitates inventorying damaged products, conducting re-inspections, and reordering, disrupting original production schedules. The resulting production management costs far exceed expectations. In the past, Taiwan’s power grid has frequently experienced voltage dips due to lightning strikes, grid switching, and unexpected equipment failures, becoming an unavoidable risk for high-tech industries. Therefore, Yu-Chen VDC is specifically designed for “voltage descent” events. VDC is not a traditional uninterruptible power supply (UPS). UPS focuses on providing sufficient battery capacity as backup power during power outages, while VDC uses supercapacitors to focus on real-time compensation for millisecond-level voltage descents. When a momentary voltage drop occurs in the mains power, VDC can compensate in real time and maintain a 100% stable voltage output before any equipment malfunctions, ensuring uninterrupted processes, production as expected, and no equipment malfunctions or restarts.
