From the Workplace to the Mountains: Yuchen Systems Demonstrates Its ESG Commitment Through Volunteer Action

To put its commitment to sustainable development into practice, Yuchen Systems organized the “YCS Sustainability for Good | Herb Tribe Volunteer Program” on May 16, 2026. The initiative encouraged employees to step outside the office and into nature, taking part in environmental conservation and community engagement through meaningful volunteer service.
A total of 32 employee volunteers participated in the event, planting 73 shell ginger (Alpinia zerumbet) seedlings in Naluo Village, Jianshi Township, Hsinchu County. Their collective efforts not only added greenery to the local environment but also contributed to carbon sequestration and climate action.

The program combined environmental education, ecological conservation, and cultural exchange, offering participants a deeper understanding of the local ecosystem and Indigenous culture. Volunteers first visited a shell ginger workshop, where they learned about the ecological importance of the plant and its close connection to the daily lives of the local community through a guided nature tour. They then took part in the “Carbon Sequestration Action – Shell Ginger Planting” volunteer activity, personally planting seedlings to support ecological restoration and enhance long-term carbon storage.
In addition to environmental initiatives, the event also featured a locally prepared lunch and an immersive Atayal cultural experience. Through interactions with the local community, employees gained greater appreciation for Indigenous traditions and regional, reinforcing the importance of integrating environmental sustainability with social inclusion.

Throughout the day, from planting seedlings and working together as a team to engaging with local residents, every moment reflected Yuchen Systems’ enthusiasm for community service and sustainable action. The volunteer program not only planted seeds of hope for the environment but also strengthened the partnership between the company and the local community.
